But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. Luke 21:13-15

Focus on Christ

Have you ever been with someone who used many words but talked about nothing of importance? Though people have intelligence to think and a mouth to speak, it doesn’t mean that what comes out of their mouth is wise. 

The key to speaking wise words is having a mind full God’s of Word. You have to spend enough time with Christ so that your relationship with Him permeates your thinking. 

As you abide in Christ, His thoughts will become your thoughts, and your answers will become His answers. 

Focus on Self

Self brings trouble to others. It speaks an answer without running it through the truth of the Word. Speech is corrupt if it is not the Truth. Guard your speech by taking in healthy amounts of God’s Word every day.
